T-Shirt Drying
When the printing has been completed on the shirt, it is then moved onto an electric dryer. This dryer uses a belt to move the shirt through it which will heat the shirt and ink to approximately 330 degrees Fahrenheit. The ink needs to be heated to this temperature because of its three major components PVC, plasticizer and oil. At that temperature the oil will evaporate which will allow the ink to dry, or cure. If the ink was left at room temperature and never heated, it would never dry!
