Print Setup
Once all of the screens are complete, they are taken over to a screen printing press. A screen printing press is made up of a series of press heads and platens (normally 4, 6, or 8) and can be either manual or automatic. The screens are then placed into the press heads in order by color, starting with the lightest color being used, going to the darkest color. They are then aligned using registry marks so that each screen is aligned completely with all of the other screens. The corresponding color of ink is then put onto the screen and the screen is now ready to be used for printing.
